Monday, August 15, 2011 - Abrazo HealthCare names new market president

PHOENIX (Aug. 15, 2011) – Abrazo Health Care announced this week that Jon Bartlett has been named market president. Most recently Bartlett served as interim market president and chief operating officer at Abrazo.

Today Abrazo provides safe, quality care and personalized attention in its six hospitals, two emergency centers, two health plans and 20 primary care clinics. Bartlett will continue the transformation of Abrazo into an organization that is much more than a traditional health care system. Abrazo’s mission is to help people achieve health for life by creating life-long relationships with people and changing the way health and health care are delivered in our community.

Prior to his system role, Bartlett was the chief executive officer at Arrowhead Hospital, an Abrazo affiliate in Glendale, for 10 years. Bartlett’s leadership skills steered the hospital to earn national recognition as a U.S. News & World Report Best Hospital, Thomson-Reuters Top 100 Hospital for Cardiovascular Services, and a winner of the HealthGrades Patient Safety Excellence Award. Bartlett is admired among his peers as an engaged leader with the ability to navigate the challenging health care landscape in Arizona.

“I am honored and excited to serve in this new role,” says Bartlett. “The Abrazo team is an exceptionally talented and passionate group of individuals and together we’re finding better ways to deliver health care and promote health and wellness opportunities for our patients and their families, our community, and our own employees.”

Bartlett has 20 years of experience in the health care industry. He holds a master’s in business administration with a concentration in health administration. He is an active member of his community, and has previously served as a board member for WESTMARC – Coalition of Government, Education and Business Leaders for leadership, advocacy and public policy, and Arizona Perinatal Trust. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association (AzHHA) and is a member of the AzHHA Council on Government Relations.
