FREE PRESENTATION AT THE ARIZONA HEART INSTITUTE

Cardiovascular Screening

Did you know that more than half of all fatal heart attacks hit without a single warning sign? In fact, many of these victims had normal blood pressure and cholesterol levels and led seemingly healthy lives. At Arizona Heart Institute, we use the best technologies to diagnose and treat a variety of life-threatening cardiovascular conditions. Don’t make a fatal mistake, know your risk.

Our unique cardiovascular screening program uses the latest technologies to pinpoint the markers for a future heart attack. With 64-slice Calcium Score testing, we’ll measure the amount of calcium in your heart’s blood vessels to reveal initial signs of a blockage. Also, Arizona Heart uses modern ultrasound to measure your Carotid Intima Media Thickness (CIMT) to calculate your future risk of heart attack or stroke. These tests are simple, non-invasive and painless. And the results can help us identify heart and vascular disease in the earliest stages, giving you and your physician the most time to take action to reduce your threat of sudden death.

On Thursday, December 18, 2008, you can attend a FREE presentation on Cardiovascular Screening, sponsored by Arizona Heart Institute and Arizona Heart Hospital. To learn about the newest advancements in cardiovascular disease, join us from noon to 1 p.m. at Arizona Heart Institute in the third-floor classroom, located at 2632 N. 20th St. in Phoenix.

Robert K. Strumpf, M.D. will lead this lecture. Dr. Strumpf joined the Arizona Heart Institute (AHI) in 1992 after completing a one-year interventional cardiovascular fellowship with AHI. Over the last several years, Dr. Strumpf has been recognized for his expertise in coronary stents, atherectomy, and lasers. As a leader of these state-of-the-art therapies, Dr. Strumpf has brought new technological advancements to rural communities throughout Arizona. He is the director of interventional cardiology and is also medical director of the Acute Cardiovascular Treatment (ACT) Program.

Besides diet and exercise, knowledge is one of the best ways to fight cardiovascular disease. If you would like to attend this free presentation, please call 1-800-345-4278 or register at www.azheart.com. Seating is limited, so register today!
