As women, we tend to overestimate our risk for cancer and underestimate our risk for heart disease, yet the numbers tell a different story. Cardiovascular disease—not cancer—is the number one killer of women in the United States.
The risk of dying from a heart attack, stroke or other forms of cardiovascular disease is greater than one in two. More women than men die of cardiovascular disease every year.
We believe that women should be keenly aware of their risk for cardiovascular disease. In addition, cardiovascular disease is not a condition you can tackle on your own. For more information or to call to make an appointment please call 602-266-2200.
