How Well is Your Heart Muscle Functioning?
You probably know your heart rate, blood pressure and cholesterol numbers. But are you aware of your EF? EF, or Ejection Fraction, is a key indicator of the heart’s pumping ability and identifies those at risk for Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). SCA means that your heart has stopped beating, strikes without warning and is often fatal if not treated within minutes.
Come to a FREE presentation, How Well is Your Heart Muscle Functioning, and learn about the connection between a low EF and SCA, and what you can do today to take care of your heart!
This informational presentation is sponsored by Arizona Heart Institute and Arizona Heart Hospital and will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2009, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Translational Research Center Ballroom located at 1910 E. Thomas Road, next to the Arizona Heart Hospital.
Cardiac Electrophysiologist, Drory S. Tendler, M.D. will lead this lecture. Dr. Tendler joined Arizona Heart Institute (AHI) in November 2008, as a Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiologist. Dr. Tendler earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University in Biochemical Sciences and his Medical Degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, New York, where he was a recipient of the American Heart Association Research Fellowship.
