Arizona Heart Institute physicians are leaders in cardiovascular research. They frequently participate as investigators in a variety of medical studies that enable us to work with the latest technologies and offer you the most advanced medical care possible.
At times a new procedure that is currently under investigation by the FDA may be available to patients with specific types of cardiovascular disease. Such therapies are evaluated in clinical trials, which are designed to determine whether or not a new treatment is safe and effective. By participating in a clinical trial, you could receive tomorrow's cardiovascular procedures today. Patients who participate contribute enormously to the development of novel therapies that continue to improve medical care.
Your participation in a clinical trial is entirely voluntary. All participants in clinical trials receive close medical supervision by a medical doctor and a team of clinical specialists.
